Partners: Guam

The OSHA Training Center (OTC) has partnered with the Guam Contractors Association Trades Academy (GCATA) to offer OSHA certified training to the island of Guam, a western Pacific US territory.

Since a large number of federal contracts on Guam require personnel to receive safety certification, the OTC is playing a vital role in providing federally recognized training based on OSHA standards.

The curriculum includes workplace safety basics in general industry and construction, and additional industry-specific courses can be hosted by the OSHA Training Center via the GTCA’s satellite classroom.

The OTC-GCATA partnership is committed to:

• increasing levels of workplace safety
• creating new employment opportunities
• providing residents with high quality training as certified instructors at the GCATA

The OSHA Training Center is continuing to research other opportunities to expand its vital safety and health initiatives through synergistic partnerships.
