OSHA Training Center Partnerships

The OSHA Training Center is developing important strategic partnerships with well established safety organizations and educational institutions to enhance the Center’s curriculum and extend its safety training programs to key locations in Northern California and the Western Region. OSHA Training Center alliances include:


Safety Center PartnershipSafety Center of Sacramento, founding in 1934 to provide safety education and training. This alliance partners the OSHA Training Center with an organization that has built solid relationships with important public and private organizations in the Sacramento Valley and is deeply committed to safety education. The partnership has already produced a cutting edge Spanish language Outreach Trainer Course in Construction.

 

UCSC Extension Silicon Valley is the South Bay’s premier provider of continuing professional UCSC Extension Silicon Valley Partnershipeducation. More than 40 University of California-approved certificates and 1400 courses are offered annually at the state-of-the-art Santa Clara campus and online. Areas of study include: Engineering and Technology; Business and Management; Biosciences; Environmental Health and Safety; and Education. Courses are taught by expert practitioners, who address the changing needs of vibrant Bay Area industries. This important strategic partnership represents the first time that the OSHA Training Center has entered into Silicon Valley, and extends OSHA courses to UCSC Extension students interested in the OSHA Outreach Training Program.

 

CALINC Training of Vacaville, a highly regarded organization providing environmental, safety, and Cal Inc Training Partnershiphazardous material training. The alliance with CALINC Training brings vital OSHA and environmental courses, including HAZWOPER training, Asbestos Contractor Supervisor Refresher, and EPA Lead Renovation, Repair, and Painting certification, and CALINC is providing OSHA standards based courses in the North Bay Area.


Guam Contractor's Association PartnershipThe Guam Contractor’s Association Trades Academy signed an agreement in 2009 to offer OSHA certified training to meet the demand for safety training as construction ramps up to accommodate the transfer of US military bases from Japan.

 

 

UC Davis PartnershipThe University of California, Davis Extension offers OSHA Training Center courses under an agreement designed to expand OSHA certified training in the Sacramento area. UC Davis Extension currently offers OSHA and Cal/OSHA Standards for the Construction Industry, Electrical Standards, and Hazardous Materials.

 

The California Maritime Academy, a specialized campus of The California State University, offering degrees in global studies and maritime affairs, marine engineering, and marine transportation. The Cal Maritime agreement will strengthen the OSHA Training Center’s Maritime Outreach Trainer Program and help establish key relationships with maritime markets, including the Port of Oakland and ports in Hawaii.

 

New partnerships are in development, positioning the OSHA Training Center for continued expansion.
