Certified Safety & Health Official - Level III

Businesses today face an overwhelming maze of safety and health regulations including employee safety, liability, training requirements, loss control, and program development and implementation.  The Certified Safety and Health Official certificate guides you through this growing maze of increasingly important safety regulations by helping you develop your staff’s expertise in safety and health strategies.  Participants in the Certified Safety and Health Official certificate program can complete an OSHA certificate in either construction or general industry.

• OSHA 5109: Cal/OSHA standards for the Construction Industry
• OSHA 3010: Excavation, Trenching and Soil Mechanics
• OSHA 3110: Fall Protection
• OSHA 3095: Electrical Standards
• OSHA 5119: Cal/OSHA standards for the General Industry OR
  OSHA 511: OSHA standards for the General Industry OR
  OSHA 501: Trainer for the General Industry (certification card must be current)

Elective Courses

• Take any three courses from the OSHA Training Center not used as above required courses.

• OSHA 5119:  Cal/OSHA standards for the General Industry
• OSHA 2250:  Principles of Ergonomics
• OSHA 2045:  Machinery and Machine Guarding
• OSHA 2264:  Permit Required Confined Space Entry
• OSHA 5109:  Cal/OSHA Standards for the Construction Industry OR
  OSHA 510:  OSHA Standards for the Construction Industry OR
  OSHA 500:  Trainer for the Construction Industry (certification card must be current)

Elective Courses
