  • OSHA Origins
    The Occupational Safety and Health Act was signed into law in 1970, followed by the creation of the Occupational Safety & Health Administration in 1971.  The OSHA Training Institute Education Center Program was created in 1992 in partnership with training and educational institutions to conduct OSHA authorized courses.  Since the inception of the agency, occupational deaths have been cut by 62% and injuries have declined by 42%.

The Chabot-Las Positas Community College District (CLPCCD) OSHA Training Center, the only authorized OSHA Training Institute Education Center in Northern California, provides the highest quality safety and health training available based on the most current OSHA regulations and information.

The CLPCCD OSHA Training Center offers a diverse curriculum for both construction and general industries, including essential training tools for safety professionals, trainer preparation courses, and customized onsite training.

We are fully committed to providing exceptional OSHA training services.

Our primary goal is to fulfill the Occupational Safety & Health Administration’s mission to prevent work-related injuries, illnesses, and deaths by offering the finest quality programs and courses, including:

  • Access to the most current safety and health information
  • Practical applications of OSHA regulations in the workplace
  • Useful learning materials for on-going reference
  • Networking opportunities with other safety professionals


The OSHA Training Center is centrally located and easily accessible.

Located in the Tri-Valley region of the East Bay, only 30 minutes from beautiful San Francisco, the CLPCCD OSHA Training Center is accessible by public transportation and within driving distance of scenic recreation areas and parks, gourmet dining and world famous wineries, great shopping, and a wide variety of entertainment, theatre and nightlife.
